AIM Triton Users
Problem:
"You have clicked on an aim hyperlink that your client does not support"
Solution:
Exit AIM Triton completely. Be sure to exit by right clicking the tray icon
and selecting "Exit AIM".
If you dont already have an older version of AIM
installed you will need to install one.
You can download AIM 5.9 here This is the latest version of AIM previous to Triton.
This will not interfere
with or overwrite your AIM Triton installation.
Run the older version of
AIM then choose the buddy icon you'd like from our website.
You can now
run AIM Triton and it will use your newly chosen buddy icon.
You may
also have to uninstall AIM Triton for this to work then re-install AIM 5.9 for
this to work.
AOL Users
Problem:
"The page cannot be displayed" or "Nothing happens when you click an icon"
Solution:
Only by using AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) can you use a custom buddy icon.
You
can download AIM 5.9 from AOL This is a free program offered by AOL for
everybody to use.
Sign onto AIM using the screen name you wish to update
the buddy icon for.
Choose the buddy icon you'd like to use from our website.
You
can now run AOL and your newly chosen buddy icon should appear to
friends.
